In an effort to protect Mercer’s computer systems from viruses, trojans, and malware, we have implemented Microsoft System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection antivirus. All computers connected to the Mercer network are required to have antivirus software installed. This helps protect both the computer and the Mercer network from harm.

Mercer IT installs System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection antivirus software on all Mercer-owned systems upon initial configuration. No additional steps are required by the employee to procure antivirus protection.

An icon for System Center Endpoint Protection appears in the Windows start menu and in the system tray.


Mercer computers are configured to be scanned weekly. You can also start a scan at any time by launching Endpoint Protection and clicking the Scan Now button.
