The Windows 7 operating system is scheduled to be released by Microsoft on October 22. Once it is released, we will begin testing its compatibility with Mercer’s applications and systems. We do not expect to adopt the new operating system until after the first major patch release from Microsoft. Until our testing is complete, and we are prepared to announce plans to upgrade to Windows 7, all new systems will continue to be delivered with Windows XP, and Windows XP will remain as the supported Windows operating system for Mercer.
