Devices that are unable to connect to MU-Secure must be registered to connect to the MU-BYOD network using another device which is connected to a Mercer network. MU-BYOD is not available in Lofts 7 (Mercer Landing II).

Access the MU-BYOD Wireless Network
Follow the steps below to register up to 4 devices for connection to the MU-BYOD network. MU-BYOD is not available in Lofts 7 (Mercer Landing II).
NOTE: You will need to re-register your devices every 180 days.- Visit the My Devices Portal: https://mydevices.mercer.edu
- Enter your 8 digit Mercer ID number and the same password used to access MyMercer and Mercer email, and then click Sign On.
- Click Continue.
- Click Add.
- Enter the following information and then click Submit:
Device Name: Enter a name that will help you remember which devices you have registered. Note: Do not include any special characters such as apostrophes, comas, exclamations, or etc.
Device ID: This is the MAC Address (also called the Physical Address) of the device. Click here for instructions on how to find the MAC address of several common devices.
Description: This is another field you can type whatever you like to help remember the devices you have registered.
- The device you registered will appear at the bottom of the page.
- Your device is now registered. Select the MU-BYOD network on the registered device to connect automatically.
Find the MAC Address of Common Devices
The menus to navigate in order to find the MAC address for common wireless devices are listed below.
NOTE: Make sure you register the wireless MAC address of your device. If your device has a wired (Ethernet) jack, its MAC address may also be listed in the menus below. Registration is not necessary to connect any device using an Ethernet cable.

Open the Chromecast app on your computer or mobile device and click Settings. The MAC address is located in the bottom-left corner of the menu.
