SUBJECT: Apple Service and Support Fee
EFFECTIVE: April 18, 2016

Mercer’s Information Technology department recognizes the need to provide our faculty and staff with technology options that best meet their needs. The personal computers that utilize the Microsoft operating system can be easily deployed, managed, and supported using the Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager at no additional cost.

Apple devices require the use of different software to allow them to be easily deployed, managed, and supported. Mercer IT has selected JAMF Software’s Casper Suite for these tasks. Effective immediately, the purchase of Apple devices will include a surcharge of $100.
