Echo360 is an active learning platform that allows instructors to capture, edit, and distribute lectures and screencasts. Classrooms across Mercer's campuses are being equipped with Echo360 which can be used to record live classes, including audio, video, and more.

Accessing Echo360
From Canvas
Echo360 integrates with Canvas and is the preferred access method. Firefox or Chrome are recommended.
- Visit Canvas: https://canvas.mercer.edu
- Choose the Login to Canvas button located under the Mercer User Login section.
- Enter your Mercer username and password.
- Select Sign in.
- Complete the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) request.
From the Internet
Echo360 can also be accessed directly from the internet:
- Visit the Echo360 log in page.
- Enter your Mercer email address in theĀ Echo360 login field.
- Click Submit. You will be redirected to the Mercer single sign on page.
- Enter your Mercer username and password.
- Click Sign in.
Installing Echo360
From Canvas
Follow the steps below to install the Echo360 software application from within Canvas.
- Log in to Canvas as outlined in the Accessing Echo360 from Canvas section above.
- Select a course from your Dashboard.
- Select Echo360 from the left-hand navigation.
- Select Create and New Capture.
- Select the Mac or Windows Download option from the Universal Capture website.
- Begin the installation from your browsers download folder and follow the prompts to complete the Echo360 installation.
From Self-Service Software
Select the Mac or Windows self-service link below for instructions to install the Echo360 software application.
Using Echo360 in a Classroom
Follow the steps below to use Echo360 from within Canvas.
- Log in to Canvas as outlined in the Accessing Echo360 from Canvas section above.
- Select a course from your Dashboard.
- Select Echo360 from the left-hand navigation menu.
- Choose Create and New Capture.
- The Echo360 Capture software should open automatically. If it does not, select the Launch Universal Capture button.
- When the software opens, select the Edit capture details option at the top left of the window.
- Choose the content you want to capture by selecting your inputs.
- To begin, press the Record button.
- To end, press the Stop button.
Opt in to Automatic Copy for Zoom Recordings
- Open Echo360 in Canvas.
- Select the Settings icon in the top right of the screen and Account Settings.
- Select Zoom Settings on the left hand side of the screen.
- Toggle the switch ON to automatically copy all Zoom recordings to your Echo360 library. This automatic copy only works for meetings that occur while the toggle is turned ON. Meetings that occurred before then are not auto-copied into Echo360.
